A very successful weekend for the 9th. Time in a row was held.

Every time with the thought it can’t be better compared to last year but it was imaging again.

A weekend where many people are always looking forward.

And not just the weekend! There were people who came two days earlier to taste the atmosphere already.

 

The Friday evening was opened with The 7th. Streetmenband, a 8 man strong formation with a blazers section from the Netherlands. To blues with guitars and blazers in combination to hear, was a new experience for many people, they enjoyed it a lot.

 

To conclude this first evening was an act of CARL WYATT and the Delta Voodoo Kings from Ireland

Carl has, inter alias, played with Archie Lee Hooker. His repertoire includes both Texas, Chicago and Delta Blues. Influences of Muddy Waters are also known.

A band with an international reputation and brought the people to a .... Peak. Every body was staying till the early morning to enjoy again this marvellous first evening.

 

Saturday afternoon at 3:30 PM began with the solo action on the part of the solo performance from Belgium MARCEL LIVE a tyrant in the field of humour, guitar and singing the Blues brings to life the people and a great afternoon are delivered.

 

At 7.30 PM we began to non other than acoustic BARRY MCCABE (Ireland) just returned from a tour in America, knew with his beautiful voice and guitar game to impress everyone. This was followed by THE LOW BUDGET BLUE BAND from Groningen (Netherlands). A blues band that may be heard, and a fantastic Blues at together.

 

This year there wouldn’t be a ‘Mistery Guest’ The surprise was therefore all the more when the band PEARL, unannounced confronted the podium. With Anita as lead singer we got cold in the Janis Joplin sound and moved to the Piaff sounds. In short: SUPERRRRB....

 

When revelation and close this very great ‘Bluesie’ weekend

MICKY LLEWELLYN’S BLUES PROJECT, at last, after many years back in Grand Hotel de Vianden, Mickey (ex-guitar player of Joe Cocker) with his band the stars of heaven played and the people went to unprecedented heights.

 

It was this ninth blues weekend again very successful.

Also the inner man was, of course, well cared for. On Friday evening, there was a very comprehensive hot and cold buffet, on Saturday evening a drop-down menu from which the entire evening could be ordered à volonté a very good and exciting formula, all of this made by the Chefs of the kitchen from the hotel, with great care.
